Johannesburg City Engagement Session
We don’t usually do a lot of engagement sessions, so it was really cool to head into johannesburg for an inner city joburg engagement session. Some big historic buildings, the Nelson Mandela Bridge, Juta Street and a couple of other really slick spots.
Turbine Hall Wedding
This weekend’s Turbine Hall wedding just kicked ass, seriously industrial chic, an awesome couple and those amazing inner city views of Johannesburg – you know how much I love the inner city. Just killer bee end to end.

Villa Arcadia Wedding
This weekend was the turn of an awesome wedding venue, Villa Arcadia, where we photographed Lili and Cameron’s killer bee wedding reception. A beautiful sermon at St Georges Anglican Church started the day, and it ended with the most amazing sunset over Johannesburg. Did I mention that Marianne Fassler made the dress?

Bronwen and Andries at Summerplace
Bronwen, one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet, got ready for the wedding at La Chatelet, a stunning venue, with the reception being held at the always amazing Summer Place wedding venue. Her and Andries were relaxed cool, calm and just super chilled. Too easy.

Paulo and Kate at The Rand Airport
We got to shoot an amazing aviation themed wedding shoot at the Rand Airport last weekend, some stunning images in front of a vintage DAC, and a rocking reception at Thaba Ya Batswana. We had a blast hanging out and flying about in the helicopter.

Weddings in Zanzibar
We’ve been to Zanzibar a couple of times now to shoot some pretty cool weddings, Reyna and Zan’s barefoot on the beach wedding, on a deserted island no less was one of a kind. Komonda Island was amazing, the ride in the dhow was out of this world, Fumba and the traditional Ngoma dancers was one of those did that just happen moments. De Hoop Nature Reserve Wedding
super excited that we got to shoot a wedding at the De Hoop Nature Reserve, Souli and Rozanne were rockstars, whales were jumping up out of the water in the background, kind of had to pinch yourself to make sure that this was happening. Some seriously killer bee images of this De Hoop Wedding.
Mauritius wedding photography at One & Only Le Saint Geran
Just back from a monster wedding at the One & Only Le Saint Géran in Mauritius, Chloe and Tom’s day was an amazing tableaux of oranges and pinks as the sun set behind them and they said their vows. No place better on earth to exchange rings and vows than on a Mauritius beach wedding. It got a bit windy at times and threatened to rain, but the evening was beautifully warm and the night sky full of stars. Typical Mauritius day.

Mauritius wedding at The Heritage Le Telfair
Just going through these pics from Alvina and Andrew’s rock ‘n roll Hindu Ceremony in Mauritius brings back so many memories. What an amazing wedding and such a killer bee couple. It was a seriously warm day, I’m pretty sure Andrew must have been sweating buckets out there.
The Heritage Le Telfair has some serious swimming pools as well, and we got a chance to cool off in the afternoon between ceremonies. Nice!

Avianto wedding – Shannon and Gary
Avianto wedding venue is one of those staples of the Johannesburg wedding scene, this weekend we got to shoot a killer bee jewish wedding at Avianto. Some of the most amazing moments during a Jewish wedding are the bedekken and signing of the ketubbah, you get some amazing emotional moments.

Kalahari wedding – Anene + Neil
Just got back from Anene and Neil’s amazing kalahari wedding in Kathu. The rain came down in buckets, but we managed to get some seriously killer bee images out on the golf course with it’s rocking camelthorn trees. What a blast, can’t wait to get back to the Kalahari, it has to be one of my favorite places on this earth.

Hindu Wedding Ceremony at Gold Reef City
The rain came down this weekend like it had forgotten that it’s supposed to be summer, we were at Shivanee and Indiran’s hindu wedding ceremony at Gold Reef City, always a blast to do some Indian wedding photography, the colors, the energy, the food! and how gorgeous was Shivanee, too easy.

Vrede en Lust Wedding – Franschoek
I’m loving the soft Cape light filtering through the vine leaves, beautiful landscapes and far way mountains turning a lovely shade of red. Weddings at Vrede en Lust always seem so californiaesque, and the wedding photos need almost no processing. This past weekend we were at Vrede en Lust shooting Linda and Giovanni’s Italian inspired wedding, gorgeous weather and amazing food completed a fantastic weekend.
Velmore Wedding
We had the opportunity to photograph Tarryn and Bradley’s rocking Velmore wedding this weekend. Killer bee skies and a really sweet couple. This day was pure magic and Tarryn and Bradley were the perfect couple for our first Velmore wedding.
