Wakkerstroom Weddings

Wakkerstroom weddings are some of the most amazing weddings you’re likely to see. A small town in Mpumalanga where one of the big attractions is the old bioscope. Cows walk around and there is a sense of history wherever you look. Loved it.

The Cradle of Humankind wedding

Shot a killer bee wedding at one of my favorite places in Johannesburg recently – The Cradle of Humankind. Weddings at The Cradle are really amazing with insane lighting and some of the most killer views in Johannesburg.

Turbine Hall Wedding

This weekend’s Turbine Hall wedding just kicked ass, seriously industrial chic, an awesome couple and those amazing inner city views of Johannesburg – you know how much I love the inner city. Just killer bee end to end.

Red Ivory wedding

Another weekend up in the magaliesburg mountains at the always amazing Red Ivory wedding venue. Arrived early, it was hot, the kind of hot that would have made Tarzan wish he had stayed at home. Diane looked gorgeous in her dress and we managed to shoot some killer bee images with the huge rolling vistas that Red Ivory is famous for. A couple of hours later, headed back to Johannesburg in the cool of the night, Hartebeespoort Dam glittering in the night, one of the most scenic drives this side of the Garden Route. I can still taste the fresh garden fruit preserves, I wish I’d taken some back home with me.

Oakfield Farm

Our last wedding of the year was at Oakfield Farm, one of those places where you can’t seem to shoot terrible images. Thank you all for the clicks and comments over the last year, we’ll see you on the other side.

The Westcliff and a quick trip down town.

We kind of gatecrashed a 40th birthday party with our bridal couple this weekend. Downtown Joburg, sun setting, graffiti and half destroyed buildings, it had to be special. Wedding Photography Johannesburg style. Got to love it.

I’ve been wanting to photograph Hazeldene Hall for a while now, but have always had clients canceling or something always came up – it was my fat-assed white whale. Finally this past weekend … a Hazeldene Hall wedding!!!

Johannesburg Country Club Wedding

This weekend it was the turn for a wedding at the Johannesburg Country Club – or the Country Club of Johannesburg as some people seem to call it – probably one of the first venues I ever photographed a wedding at actually. A real challenge to get something that wasn’t colonial and white on white. We had a grand time though and the actual ceremony was at the majestic St Georges in Parkhurst. Beautiful and really amazing. As always more wedding photographs on the wedding photography blog.

Avianto Wedding

We got to shoot at Avianto again this weekend. Avianto is one of those perennial venues on the wedding mile, its always a challenge to get something new and fresh in a venue that has been shot to death by 10 or more wedding photographers on a weekly basis. But Brigitte and Rod, were cool as beans and we got some really great stuff in the small forest nearby. As always more pics on the Dror Eyal wedding photography blog.

Victoire and Nico at Rhuslancea

Morning,

Apparently our hosting provider exploded over the weekend – I kid you not – and hence there is no access to the wedding photography gallery. We had a grand time with Nico and Victoire at their Rhuslancea wedding, still the nicest people we’ve met in a long time. I’ll have a couple of pics up on the wedding photography blog as soon as they have repaired the damage to the site.

A Wedding At The Coachhouse in Tzaneen

Got some seriously cool images this weekend just outside of Duiwelskloof (Devil’s Gorge) near Tzaneen. Celia and Hugh got married in a classically elegant ceremony at The Coachhouse. The reception was at the amazing Mosaic Restaurant at Alon.
