Netherwood Weddings
Netherwood weddings are just incredible, that huge chapel on the hill made totally of glass, the amazing landscape, Nguni cows and rolling green hills. It’s one of those wedding venues that you have to see to believe, and the wedding photography that you get out there is insane.
10 Photos You MUST Take At A Wedding ( and how to take them)
Our new ebook is out on The Focal Plan imprint, it’s about the fundamentals of wedding photography, perfect if you’re about to shoot your first wedding, or need some inspiration in order to get your name back out there via word of mouth.
Wakkerstroom Weddings
Wakkerstroom weddings are some of the most amazing weddings you’re likely to see. A small town in Mpumalanga where one of the big attractions is the old bioscope. Cows walk around and there is a sense of history wherever you look. Loved it.
Arts on Main (Maboneng) Wedding
We went down this weekend to shoot Tasmin and Dylan’s killer bee inner city Johannesburg wedding at Arts on Main. Arts on Main weddings are one of those things that I’ve always wanted to shoot – loads of character, actual streets, just that authenticity that comes with photographing a wedding in a working city with people heading home on a Friday afternoon –
Turbine Hall Wedding
This weekend’s Turbine Hall wedding just kicked ass, seriously industrial chic, an awesome couple and those amazing inner city views of Johannesburg – you know how much I love the inner city. Just killer bee end to end.
More images from Angela and Patrick’s chic wedding can be found on our Facebook page.
Makiti Wedding Photography
Zelna and Gerhard, dodged cars, barbed wire, and walked away from the nice safe manicured green lawns, instant kitsch photo settings and pseudo roman statues at Makiti, and went all wild at heart with us at their photoshoot. We had a blast. Their wedding photos kick ass.
it was a yellow brick road kind of day
The Westcliff and a quick trip down town.
We kind of gatecrashed a 40th birthday party with our bridal couple this weekend. Downtown Joburg, sun setting, graffiti and half destroyed buildings, it had to be special. Wedding Photography Johannesburg style. Got to love it.
Helderfontein Country Estate
Got to shoot Kim and Aidan’s corker of a wedding at the Helderfontein Country Estate this weekend, amazing venue, amazing light and a really really nice couple = rocking wedding photography.
Morrell’s Boutique Venue
V and I just got back from Lynette and Glen’s cool wedding at Morrells … a quick sneak peek before we head to bed and Lynette and Glen (who are probably still at Morrells) head out to their honeymoon.
It didn’t rain, but it looked close a couple of times
Shepstone Gardens Weddings
We had a grand time this weekend at the always amazing Shepstone Gardens, really setting itself up as the premier wedding venue in Joburg this year. Great atmosphere, vibe and just an incredible place to have a wedding. It only rained a little bit …

The Cradle Of Humankind – Wedding under the trees
Another amazing wedding weekend, this time at The Cradle, you know the venue at the bottom under the trees. The cradle has to be one of my favorite venues in Muldersdrift at the moment, you just can’t beat the light, even in midday.

Even more Oakfield Farm Weddings
Got to shoot UK wedding photographer LJ Urbani this past week, LJ and Brooke got married at Oakfield Farm, where I actually shot my first wedding, and incidentally the wedding of the year last year.

Moon and sixpence wedding photography
Probably our coolest couple of the year in one of the darkest days of the year. West rand style wedding photography at the Moon and Sixpence in Muldersdrift.
Johannesburg Country Club Wedding
This weekend it was the turn for a wedding at the Johannesburg Country Club – or the Country Club of Johannesburg as some people seem to call it – probably one of the first venues I ever photographed a wedding at actually. A real challenge to get something that wasn’t colonial and white on white. We had a grand time though and the actual ceremony was at the majestic St Georges in Parkhurst. Beautiful and really amazing. As always more wedding photographs on the wedding photography blog.
Avianto Wedding
We got to shoot at Avianto again this weekend. Avianto is one of those perennial venues on the wedding mile, its always a challenge to get something new and fresh in a venue that has been shot to death by 10 or more wedding photographers on a weekly basis. But Brigitte and Rod, were cool as beans and we got some really great stuff in the small forest nearby. As always more pics on the Dror Eyal wedding photography blog.
Namibia Wedding Photography
Just got back from shooting Erika and Morne’s stunning wedding in Namibia – near Gobabis actually. Beautiful desert, amazing couple, just incredible.
More Nambia wedding photography on the blog.
